well, majority of my girlfriends (95%) answered: caring.

the remaining 5% answered beriman (lin), gigi & kulit putih (datin mar) and i can’t remember the others’ answers.

i didn't answer caring to miss shahida's question though.

RESPECT


yes. respect but he shall not only has respect to me, my parents, my family and my friends but also to himself, his parents, his family, his friends and other people that are related.

bagi aku, respect is the top priority.

one word, a lot of meaning.


First thing first, what is the meaning of respect?

appreciating a person for their character, knowledge, intellect, abilities, manner, and/or having attained a great, venerable age. - source

1. To avoid violation
2. A feeling of appreciative
3. Willingness to show consideration or appreciation
4. To recognize the worth, quality and importance

do you get a clear picture? yes? no?

well basically, respect is the key on deciding/showing that someone truly loves you or not.

When you truly respect someone, you don’t lie to them, cheat on them, demean them, steal from them, speak badly about them, try to control them, invade their privacy, ignore what’s important to them, or want anything less for them than their most glorious dreams - source

With lack of respect, a relationship will always fill with arguments.

Been there, done that.

Imagine this.

Your bf/gf always tells you that he/she loves you but he/she calls you names (idiot, donkey, moron, etc), do things that you hate such as smoking in front of you, talk bad about you in front of his/her friends, yelled at you when you are talking to him/her nicely and worse, swear about you.

Ouch. THAT really hurt.

Logically, do you think he/she really loves you when he/she do that to you?

I don’t think so brah.

If you really love someone, you WILL respect the things that he/she likes though you don’t like it.

If you really love someone, you WILL respect the things that he/she dislike though you like it.

Faham tak murid-murid? Hihi.

Itu hanyalah my opinion.

Different people has different thoughts kan?

Besides, I chose to answer that word and search that attitude in a guy due to my past experience.
